Description:  Held October 15-172002 draws over 200,000 visitors annually and is the largest outdoor farm show in North America with field demonstrations, and with more than 1,000 corporate and private exhibitors. The Sunbelt Expo, now in its second decade, is the premier farm show in North America.

Held in October annually since 1963, the Georgia Peanut Festival celebrates Worth County's famous cash crop: peanuts. The goober has been so successful, Sylvester has become known as the "Peanut Capital of the World."
Festivities include street dances, junior parades for younger children, a beauty pageant, a large parade that attracts thousands of people, and arts and crafts.

Harvest Festival

Held annually the 3rd weekend in October, the Harvest Festival is a celebration of Seminole County's number 1 industry agriculture. The festival is held in downtown Donalsonville in the City Park and spells over onto Main Street. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and the event is free to the public.

Pre- festival Events

Tennis Tournament

The Tennis Tournament will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Categories are open for young and old, beginners and advanced players. Entry forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce.

Concert

On Saturday,  this concert guarantees to be an evening a good entertainment for the entire family! Ticket information available at the Chamber of Commerce.

Parade

Festivities get underway on Saturday, with a parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. Bands, floats, beauty queens, clowns, horse drawn buggies, horses and much more will be featured and enjoyed by all!

Model Airplane Fly-In

Come join the fun at the Model Airplane Fly-In. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. and running "until", model airplane enthusiasts will be putting on a show for the delight of young and old. The Fly-In will be at the Donalsonville Municipal Airport on Highway 39 South and is free to the public. Concessions will be available.

Arts and Crafts

From 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. the festival will feature a wide variety of arts and crafts including woodcrafts, dried flowers, wreaths, ceramics, original paintings, bird houses and much more! Bring your Christmas list! You're sure to find that special gift item.

Food

Best festival cookin' around!! Tantalize your taste buds with fresh cooked barbeque, brunswick stew, hot dogs, hamburgers, philly sandwiches, blooming onions, funnel cake, popcorn, cotton candy, and much more! Food concessions will open at 8:30 a.m.

Entertainment

The  Harvest Festival is packed with a variety of live entertainment from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. on stage in the City Park. Local and regional musicians and dancers will provide continuous shows featuring all types of music from rock and roll to gospel. Seating will be available, but bring your lawn chairs if you'd like!

Tournaments

Try your hand at 2 traditional sports - horseshoes and checkers! The horse shoe tournament and the checkers tournament will run all day with final elimination at 5:00 p.m. The tournaments will be held directly behind the Lions Hall adjacent to the City Park. No prior registration is required.

Arts and Crafts Exhibit

Local and regional artists and craftsmen will have work on display throughout the festival. Entries will be judged in a number of categories. The exhibit will be in the Donalsonville Lions Hall adjacent to the City Park and is free to the public.

Antique Farm Equipment

The antique farm equipment display is a favorite among festival visitors and is growing every year. A very fun and interesting way to take a trip down history lane!

Boston Mini Marathon

This event includes a mini marathon in the spirit of the big Boston Marathon.  Other events that occur are a parade, antique car derby, and arts and craft show.

Kolomoki Mounds State Park Programs

Astronomy:  October 12th Amateur Astronomer Robert Lange is on hand to provide a look at the    stars.  Bring your own telescope or use ours and come to our Star Party.

Arts and Crafts:  2nd Saturday in October Primitive skills demonstrations, Kolomoki Kids arts and        crafts, craft vendors, food vendors, local entertainment, and artifact identification.
