National Mayhaw Festival

Colquitt, Georgia

Celebrates the mayhaw berry.  A fruit that is found in wetland area in the southeast.  The fruit used to make jelly, wine, and desserts.  Held the third weekend in April in Colquitt. Parade, entertainment, crafts and antiques, tennis tournament, civil war re-enactments.This event is held on the 3rd Saturday of April every year.

Spring Fling

Moultrie, Georgia 

In April, everyone in Colquitt County and our friends from near and far enjoy this festival.  It is held in downtown Moultrie.  Sponsored by the Colquitt County Arts Center, the 1989 winner of the "Outstanding Cultural Center in Georgia" award.  Spring Fling brings the arts to the community.  Try your hand at a craft or simply enjoy the sunshine, sip lemonade, and shop for that special gift.  Either way, you will soak up a little of what makes Moultrie a unique community and get to know our friendly caring people.

81st Annual Rose Show, "Amercia - Where Roses Reign…Year of the Rose"

Friday and Saturday, April 26 & 27, at the Thomasville Exchange Club Fairgrounds, 1103 Pavo Road (Hwy 122).
A standard patriotic flower show sponsored by the Thomasville Garden Club, Inc. and a Rose Show sponsored by the Thomasville Rose Society. Horticulture entries; Thursday, April 25th from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. until 9 a.m. Entries of roses, Friday, April 26 from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. Show hours 1:30 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Friday and 9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. 24th Annual Rose Bud Parade

Thursday, April 25th, 7 pm in downtown Thomasville. 
Thousands of children in colorful costumes converge on Broad Street in a cavalcade of commotion and enthusiasm. Miniature floats, lively bands, pets, clowns and many surprises make the Rose Bud Parade a not-to-be-missed occasion.
