ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

The Economic Development Division within the Southwest Georgia RDC provides technical assistance to chamber commerce, economic development authorities, and/or localities for economic development projects that will create jobs and generate private investments for the Southwest Georgia Region, which makes each county eligible to receive EDA funding for economic development projects. The Southwest Georgia RDC also helps communities and businesses in applying for grants and loans with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, USDA Rural Development, EDA, and the One Georgia Authority. The Southwest Georgia RDC operates the Southwest Georgia Revolving Loan Fund to encourage economic growth and expansion for small businesses.
